Six questions buyers ask first
Do you manage on-premise infrastructure?
No. Citable manages cloud infrastructure only — AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, and Hetzner. We do support migrations from on-premise environments to cloud. If you're on-prem and want to move to a managed cloud setup, the on-prem to cloud migration is the right starting point. Once you're in cloud, we take it from there.
Are you tied to a specific cloud provider?
No. Citable is cloud agnostic. We recommend Hetzner for cost-effective single-tenant setups and AWS or Azure for multi-tenant or enterprise workloads, but we adapt to your existing environment. If you have a preferred provider or an active contract, we work with what you have.
How does infrastructure affect AI visibility?
Three ways. First, robots.txt and server-response time decide whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and Google-Extended can reach and index your site. A site that takes 4 seconds to respond to a crawler often gets a partial-index entry — or none at all. Second, CI/CD pipelines that overwrite schema markup, canonicals, or llms.txt during routine deploys silently destroy GEO progress between releases. Third, server-side rendering availability (or its absence) determines whether AI crawlers can read content at all. Cloud architecture is upstream of every GEO signal.

Why do you recommend Hetzner for cost-effective stacks?
Hetzner offers single-tenant dedicated and cloud servers in European data centers at 30–60% lower cost than AWS or GCP for equivalent compute. For SMB teams whose workload doesn't yet justify multi-tenant hyperscaler pricing, Hetzner is the most cost-effective starting point. As workloads grow or compliance requirements change (SOC 2, HIPAA), we migrate to AWS, Azure, or GCP without service interruption.
Can you work alongside our existing DevOps team?
Yes. Citable's most common engagement model is partnering with an existing engineering team — not replacing it. We handle the infrastructure layers your team doesn't have bandwidth for, document everything, and hand off cleanly when the engagement ends. We don't lock work behind proprietary tooling.
